The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will announce the Round 6 seat allotment results today, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, on its official website: josaa.nic.in.

This round is crucial for:

Candidates who opted for slide/float options in Round 5, and
Candidates who have not yet been allotted a seat in any previous round

🚫 No Slide or Float Option in Round 6

JoSAA has clearly stated that slide and float options are NOT available in Round 6.
This means:

Candidates must either accept and confirm the allotted seat or exit the process. No further upgrades will be offered after this round.

Next Steps After JoSAA 2025 Round 6: CSAB Registration & Withdrawal Rules

If a candidate has not been allotted any seat in NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs through JoSAA, they can register for CSAB 2025 counselling at csab.nic.in.
For candidates participating in JoSAA counselling for IITs, please note:
🔒 There is no option to withdraw from the counselling process once you’ve been allotted a seat.
However, for those who applied to NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs, a withdrawal option is available:
- Candidates can apply for withdrawal from JoSAA counselling till July 21, 2025
- Any withdrawal-related queries must be responded to by July 22, 2025.

Step 1:
Visit the official JoSAA website: josaa.nic.in

Step 2:
On the homepage, click the link that says “View Seat Allotment Result – Round 6” (or similar)

Step 3:
You’ll be redirected to a login page.
Enter your JoSAA 2025 Application Number and password.

Step 4:
Click on Login to view your seat allotment status

Step 5:
Download or print your Seat Allotment Letter for future reference.

JoSAA 2025: Seat Acceptance Fee Details

All candidates who are allotted a seat in any round of the JoSAA 2025 counselling process must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) to proceed with document verification.

⚠️ Without SAF payment, document verification will not be conducted.

🧾 Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) Structure:

₹15,000 for candidates belonging to the following categories:
- SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, ST-PwD
₹30,000 for all other candidates

📌 Note:

The fee includes a ₹5,000 non-refundable JoSAA processing charge.
The remaining amount (after excluding the processing charge) will be adjusted against the admission fee at the allotted institute.
