“Chicago Fire Season 14: Jack Damon Actor Michael Bradway Exits the Show in Major Cast Shake-Up”
Michael Bradway Says Goodbye to Chicago Fire
Good news for the fires, but bad news for Chicago Fire fans—another beloved firefighter is hanging up his gear.
Michael Bradway, who portrayed Jack Damon—the half-brother of fan-favorite Kelly Severide—across 17 episodes spanning Seasons 12 and 13, will not be returning for Season 14 of the hit NBC drama. The news has been officially confirmed by TVLine, marking yet another shake-up in the show’s cast as it heads into its next chapter.
Bradway has recently landed a role in Prime Video’s upcoming series adaptation of Every Summer After, based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling 2022 novel. With production already underway, his busy schedule appears to be the primary reason behind his departure from Chicago Fire. However, there’s still a spark of hope for fans—producers have reportedly left the door open for Broadway to return as Jack Damon in the future, if timing permits.
Bradway’s departure follows a wave of major cast changes as Chicago Fire heads into Season 14. Fans have already bid farewell to Jake Lockett, who played Sam Carver, and Daniel Kyri, known for his role as Darren Ritter, marking a significant shake-up at Firehouse 51.
But it’s not all goodbyes. There’s fresh energy coming in as On Call and Party of Five star Brandon Larracuente joins the cast as a new series regular. While details about his firefighter character are still under wraps, his arrival promises to bring a new dynamic to the team.
TVLine’s sister site, Soaps.com, was the first to break the news of Bradway’s exit.
