Mustafizur Rahman produced a sensational spell of bowling during the first T20I at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, helping Bangladesh dismantle Pakistan with precision and discipline. After Bangladesh opted to bowl first, Mustafizur delivered a masterclass in control and economy, finishing with outstanding figures of 2/6 in his four overs.

Mustafizur Sets New Record for Bangladesh in T20Is

The left-arm pacer scripted history by conceding just six runs in his four-over spell—the most economical spell by a Bangladeshi bowler in T20I history. With this feat, he surpassed Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who gave away only seven runs for three wickets against Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Precision and Pressure: How Mustafizur Dominated

Mustafizur struck early in the fifth over, conceding just one run and taking the wicket of Hasan Nawaz. He returned in the 11th over and maintained the pressure, giving away only two runs and contributing to the run-out of Fakhar Zaman.

In his third over, Mustafizur continued to choke Pakistan’s scoring rate, dismissing Khushdil Shah while conceding just two runs. He wrapped up his final over by giving away only one run, finishing with 2 wickets for just 6 runs—a spell that rattled the Pakistani batting order.
